Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Perinatal Mental Health Certified, Director of Foster Counseling & Therapy
“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”—Brené Brown. The journey of life can be difficult and sometimes we find ourselves in a rough chapter-- be it a day, a week, a month, or even years. Sometimes we are no longer in the identified rough chapter but its effects continue to be with us, and we are afraid to be truly seen. I am honored to connect and work with clients willing to take that first step in being seen, digging deep, and acting courageously in their vulnerability and their commitment to insight, growth, transformation and healing.
I work with individuals ages 14+ experiencing an array of life issues such as stress, conflict, shame, anxiety, obsessions, compulsions, depression, ADHD, grief, frustration, adjustment, and loss. With over a decade of experience in the field, I specialize in treating anxiety-related issues with a trauma-informed lens, and pull from the evidenced-based theoretical frameworks and applications of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and use of Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, providing education on the neuroscience of anxiety, as well as utilize exposure-based approaches to improve your relationship with anxiety and empower you. I also specialize in perinatal mental health including Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety and Postpartum OCD, as well as perinatal loss and grief. In addition, I have training in and enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community.
My style is warm, empathetic, and empowering, and encourages people to identify and make choices that are within their control and align with their values. I find it very important to look at things holistically, considering the individual's relationships, history, nutrition, exercise, personal strengths, and spirituality.
I obtained my Masters of Art in Psychology with a specialization in clinical counseling in 2009 from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior to that I received a Bachelor of Art’s degree, double majoring in Psychology and Art/Art History from the University of Iowa. I have worked with inpatient and outpatient settings, and had the honor of working with people of all walks of life, ages 4 and up. I have received additional training and certifications in the following, but not limited to: Anxiety and Neuroscience, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Perinatal Mental Health, Perinatal Loss, Adjustment to Parenthood, and LGBTQ+ allyship. I have been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since 2012.

Sarah Pottle
Licensed Professional Counselor, ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers. I believe the opportunity to walk alongside my clients through the ever changing seasons of their lives is nothing short of a privilege. Each and every client that I have worked with has left a lasting mark on my heart. I hope to create a space that is safe, authentic, and affirming.
I work with individuals ages 16+ who are navigating life challenges such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship conflict, narcissistic abuse, stress, chronic illness, OCD, grief, adjustment, and complex trauma. Since entering the field in 2018, I have discovered my passion for working alongside neurodiverse populations and providing neurodivergent affirming care. I'd call myself an eclectic therapist as I utilize a Person Centered approach with the integration of an Internal Family Systems framework.
My therapeutic style is gentle, nurturing, but challenging when appropriate. I view my client as the expert in the room and it is my role to assist them in defining their therapeutic goals, fostering insight, and promoting change and healing through the lens of their values and lived experiences.
I received my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University in 2022. I previously attended Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 2019, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Criminal Justice. I have worked in residential and outpatient settings and have experience working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, neurodiverse populations, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I have additional training and certifications in the treatment of ADHD and complex trauma.

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
“Try instead of looking forward to things, look inward. Once you focus on the journey inward, you will find your peace.”-Anonymous. Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. Helping people feel better has always been something that has come naturally to me. Growing up I was always interested in the science of the mind and when I started studying psychology, my passion was solidified as well as my inclination to help people. I have worked in the field of psychology over 15 years with children, adolescents and families in both inpatient and outpatient capacities. I deeply value building genuine connections with clients ensuring you are heard, accepted, and understood for who you truly are.
I work with children ages 10+, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, adjustment issues, and self-care. I have been privileged to work with different cultural backgrounds, which underscores my commitment to inclusivity. I like to blend a scientific approach with a holistic approach. I pull strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) all while ensuring my approach is customized to each individual. I provide a safe, warm, and empowering environment where the client can be themselves. My goal is to help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, gain self-understanding, cultivate coping skills and enhance interpersonal relationships.
I did my undergrad studies in applied psychology at University of IL at Chicago and did my postgraduate studies with masters in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Psychology. Throughout my career, I feel grateful and honored for all the people that have let me part of their healing journey.
